Then we had our YWAM beginning of the year meetings Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings (the first weekend in January). All went well until Sunday morning. It had rained most of the night and was still raining in the morning. Because most of our teammates come by foot or bicycle, our meetings started almost 1 1/2 late. A family trudged through the mud and rain to get to our car for us to take them the rest of the way. Victor went out to one ministry location to pick up "stranded" staff there.
We've spent several cozy nights falling asleep to the sound of rain on our tin roof.
We see beautiful rainbows.
Driving becomes more hazardous as the pedestrians (and there are dozens of them at any given spot in the road) who once walked on the shoulder of the road, now walk on the road because the shoulders are mud puddles.
Line drying clothes takes lots of patience as you hang them out, take them in, hang them out again, take them in......after 2 or 3 days, the clothes finally dry.
But needless to say, we were very happy to see the sunshine now two days in a row!
And people's corn crops are growing for which we thank the Lord!
Sorry, I've not done well posting frequently lately. I had tried to post our children's Christmas cookie decoration party, but the internet was funny and after trying without success to post it, I gave up. I still have not managed to post with ease....either the pictures don't download as I want or the internet stalls on me or something. But I'll keep working on it. 'Till next time...
